Mountaineering / Roped Scrambling Grade 2 - 3

Have you done some Grade 1 scrambling and are now wondering what Grade 2 & 3 are like?

If you're essentially a hill walker and have done some easy scrambling but would like to experience some harder scrambling with the safety of a rope, let me guide you up some of the beautiful Welsh classics to see if this is something you would like to explore further.

Or are you a trad climber that wants to learn some of the tricks of the trade (eg. making simple but safe anchors, taking coils, choosing a rack, guidebook interpretation, general decision making) to become a more efficient mountaineer?

Roped scrambling is an essential skill required for tackling bigger alpine peaks. Moving around on relatively technical terrain in big boots while using a rope efficiently is a skill that can be easily underestimated. While the climbing aspect may feel relatively easy, the decision making to stay on route, anchor choice in less stable terrain, and rope management on variable ground all becomes much more complex when the aim is to be quick but safe.
